Barre Area Development Corp Update & Barre Rock Solid Initiative

Please join us for an update from the new Executive Director of the Barre Area Development Corp, Cody Morrison.   

BADC is a nonprofit economic development corporation that works on behalf of the Town of Barre and City of Barre to help grow the local economy. Their primary tasks are to bring new businesses to Barre, help existing businesses grow, develop public infrastructure, and promote the community. Founded in 1961, the organization has been involved in several notable projects including Enterprise Alley and City Place in Barre City and the creation of Wilson Industrial Park and the Barre Town Forest in Barre Town.

Cody comes to Barre from New Hampshire where he worked in economic development roles at the state and local level. A few of his notable accomplishments include securing over $1.1 million in grant funding for infrastructure and downtown revitalization projects and coordinating production of personal protective equipment and business relief efforts in his community during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to being BADC’s new chief executive, Cody’s newest task is to implement the Barre Rock Solid marketing program. Barre Rock Solid is an initiative started by BADC to bring new businesses, residents, and visitors to Barre.
