Eddie offered a Happy Dollar, recounting the history of Barre Rotary and the BOR Concession Stand, before informing us that he and his wife Sandy conducted a dry run, with the inventory on hand, for a hockey game and made $279.00.
Tracie Lewis, Executive Director of the Barre Partnership, gave a Happy Dollar as she told us about an initiative to bring more tourists to downtown. A committee came up with the idea for an informational trailer serving cocoa during the winter months. She thought that service clubs might be interested in staffing the trailer and invited us to volunteer when it is up and running. Certainly worth considering, Rotarians!
Tony added a Happy Dollar to the coffers and proceeded to spin a yarn about tourism.

Onward to the Apartments!
Karl directed us to go out the front door of Tasty Bites and down the alley to the back of 105 North Main Street where we would meet our host who would lead us on a tour of the luxury apartments on the newly renovated dance hall floor. One Zero Fire Stay AirBnB did not disappoint. Apartments have a main floor and either a second floor or a loft. Beautifully appointed with contemporary furnishings, accessories and plush carpeting, a comfortable stay is assured.
Rotarians and guests were impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to see this addition to the lodging choices for travelers visiting Barre and the surrounding area. Thanks Karl, for organizing this superb tour!
Until next time....that's all Rotarians.
