Acting President Caroline introduced speech contest participant Charlotte Kellett. This year’s topic was “How can we increase hope for our schools?”
 
On January 31, 2024, Tony Campos inducted new member Emily Stephens into the club. Emily is a local realtor with eXp Realty.
We welcome her to the club.
During the Holiday season this year the Rotary Club of Barre members were out in force to ring the bell for the Salvation Army.
 On one day they brought in more then $800.00 to help the citizens of our community.       
On a mild Saturday morning December 9, 2023 Barre Rotarians, SHS Interact Club Members, Gen Rotary Club members and friends helped Gary Hass from the The World Newspaper wrap 211 winter coats with gloves, hats & books.
The coats will be distributed by the Salvation Army in Barre.

Barre Rotary Club president Eddie Rousse presents Aimee Green the executive director of Barre Area Development a check for $16,837.00 to be given to the The Barre Community Relief Fund from funds raised by the club for the flood of July 11, 2023.
 
The new organization created by BADC will collect and distribute funds to those in need from Barre City and Barre Town.
At a later date the club added another $13,605.00 to the fund for a grand total of $30, 442.00.
 
 
Garrett Grant, Interim Executive Director at The Aldrich Public Library get inducted into the Barre Club by Tony Campos as President Eddie Rousse looks on. Grant is now the newest Rotarian in the world joining over one million other Rotarians.
On the night of June 27, 2023 the Barre Club gathered at Pearl Street Pizza to celebrate the changing of club presidents. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
We started off with the pledge and some singing led by Arthur Zorn on the piano.
   Then we went straight to the meal of cesar salad, meat balls with polenta and pizza followed by a great cake. Great fellowship was had by all!
Under the direction of club president, Nicole DiDomenico the club held a "PIE FOR BRUNCH" event on April 8, 2023 at the American Legion in Barre, Vt.
 
This well attended event was meant to distribute funds to local charities or non profits.
 
Rotarians & guests brought a verity of pies for brunch which were all delicious!
On Saturday May 7,2022 a bunch of Rotarians and friends of Rotary set out to paint the entire shelter at Rotary Park, inside and out.
This included Cody Steed and his son and Josh Piascik from Sherwin-Williams Company. They also brought all the paint and materials.
A BIG "THANK YOU" TO THEM.

ARE DICTIONARIES & ATLASES STILL RELEVANT IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN THIS DAY & AGE?
 
5376 books later, yes, say the administrators in six local schools! The Barre club recently distributed almost 400 books to the schools.
 
The club has now given 5376 books to the schools!
