Rotarians Go Back in Time No rituals, no lunch, no fines, no Happy/Sad Dollars, no Secretary’s Report, no speaker, but you did need to speak easy as a baker’s dozen of Rotarians gathered at Moruzzi’s Speakeasy in the basement of Ladder 1 Grill for a Rotary after Dark event. Four of the dozen showed up in Roaring Twenties attire and three of the four almost instantly showed up on Facebook posted by Valerie Beaudet , owner of the Firehouse complex. The speakeasy reflects Valerie’s creativity with overstuffed couch/chair/table groupings throughout the space and with walls decorated with posters and photographs of the Roaring Twenties era featuring many of the famous gangsters of the time. There is a full bar and their menu includes appetizers and dessert. Look for future opportunities to attend Rotary after Dark and a return to Moruzzi’s. The lounge is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. In the meantime take a look at the photos of Barre Rotarians and click on the link to get a sense of the atmosphere of the speakeasy. Reminders - Please keep selling those Third Annual Rotary Ball tickets which takes place on Saturday, October 28th.
- Wednesday’s meeting is Club Assembly. Bring any issues or topics you would like to be discussed.
- Donations Meeting on Thursday, November 2nd at 6:30 p.m. at Community Bank.
